Drs. Lynn and Preston Roberts, DVM, built and started Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall together in the Summer of 2004 after many years of working as Associate Veterinarians for other practices. They always dreamed of owning their own practice and being able to put their hearts into their business and the local community. They have been living this dream for the last 16+ years and are proud to serve the Rural Hall and surrounding communities with exceptional veterinary care, compassion, and years of working knowledge in the field.
Dr. Lynn attended Meredith College/NC State University, and Dr. Preston attended UNC Chapel Hill for their undergraduate education. They met in veterinary school and completed their veterinary degrees at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in the Spring of 1989. They married in the Fall of 1989 and have two adult daughters and one granddaughter together. In their time away from work, they enjoy spending time with their family (particularly their granddaughter). Dr. Lynn also enjoys painting/drawing, traveling, and watching movies. Dr. Preston enjoys landscaping, reading, and smoking/grilling meat.

Dr. Wendi Wells, DVM, joined our team in August 2015. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 1995 and then completed an internship at the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron, OH. Dr. Wells worked in Emergency Services for five years at the After Hours Emergency Clinic in Winston Salem, NC. She has also worked in Emergency & Critical Care for 21 years at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Wendi Wells gives exceptional care to her patients and provides the same care to their owners. We are so honored and pleased to have her on our team here at Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall.
Dr. Alex Davis has always wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a child and never made a “Plan B.” She enjoys being mentally challenged by the profession and building impactful client relationships. She studied Animal Science at NC State as an undergrad and then continued her education at NC State for veterinary school.
In her free time, she enjoys being outside in her backyard, playing disc golf or volleyball, or relaxing inside with a good book. She shares her life with her wonderful husband, four dogs, two cats, and many goldfish. They recently moved to the area from Wilmington, NC, to be closer to their family.
She is very excited to get to know clients and their beloved pets and provide the best care that works for the entire family.
Holly started with our practice as a veterinary assistant in August 2007 at 18 years old. In May 2019, she became the practice manager. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is reproductive health. Growing up on her family farm, she always loved animals and wanted to work in veterinary medicine. She has been married to her husband since April 2014, and they have two beautiful children. They live on a farm in Pilot Mountain with their eight dogs, a cat, cattle, chickens, horses, and dairy goats. She enjoys spending her time off with her family, working on the farm, riding horses, and reading.
Stephanie started as a veterinary assistant with our practice in January 2009 but has been in the industry since 1992. She previously worked with Dr. Roberts at another practice. She fell in love with animals as a child and knew she wanted a career in animal medicine. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is dentistry, and she is our primary pet dental hygienist. She lives in Lewisville with her husband, Jeff, of 14 years; her Rat Terrier, Jasper; her Chorkie, Chelsea; and her special needs kitten, Coorie. In her time off, she enjoys reading and traveling.
Toni graduated college in 2019 from Central Carolina Community College with a degree in veterinary technology. She became a registered veterinary technician in July 2019. She chose this field of study because she wanted to be able to speak and advocate for those who can’t and spread awareness through client education. She has been with our practice since December of 2019. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is seeing patients grow, caring for those who are ill, and then seeing them recover. She enjoys spending time with her two dogs and five cats and hiking in her free time.
Tiffany started her career in veterinary medicine in 2007 as a veterinary assistant. She has a Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Forsyth Tech. She also has an Applied Science degree in biotechnology from Forsyth Tech. She has always loved animals and wanted to make a difference in their lives. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is surgery and helping her patients feel better. She has a Golden Retriever named Summit and seven cats. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Misty started at Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall in 2014. Previously, she worked in manufacturing for 15 years but decided to change her career due to her love for animals. She has a Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Forsyth Tech. She has four dogs: Lucy, Ethel, Sophie, and Tater. Her favorite part of her job is helping deliver puppies (specifically their first little howl they make). Outside work, you can find her having fun listening to live music, hanging out with friends, and enjoying the outdoors.
Nicole started with Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall in September 2018. She developed her love for animals on her family farm. She was recently married and now has a farm of her own. She has several dogs, chickens, and cats. She enjoys spending her time off with her family on the farm or hanging out with friends.
Stacy attended Forsyth Tech, majoring in business, but decided veterinary medicine was the field she would be happiest in. She has been at Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall since 2012. She has a rescue dog named Poppy. Stacy is passionate about her interactions with our patients and our clients. She enjoys learning new things as technology advances. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her blended family of four teenage kids and her fiancé. Veterinarian medicine has always been her dream job, and she wouldn't change it.
Holly started in veterinary medicine in 2004. When asked why she chose this field, she responded, “I have loved animals all my life. Vet med chooses you; you don’t choose vet med.” Her favorite part is knowing what she does makes a difference, from bringing a new member to the family to all the in-betweens and then helping them cross the rainbow bridge. She has two dogs and two cats. In her free time, she loves to spend time outside with her family and pets. She loves running and staying active.
Meredith Russell is a dedicated veterinary assistant at our practice, bringing her passion for animals and care to every task since joining us in 2022. Her journey into veterinary medicine was driven by a profound love for animals, which she expresses daily through her work. Meredith finds great joy in meeting new pets and their owners, making each day at the practice fulfilling.
Outside of work, Meredith cherishes her time with family and friends, often engaging in activities such as painting, shopping, and enjoying outings with her beloved German Shepherd, Thor. Her commitment to both her professional and personal life reflects her vibrant personality and genuine enthusiasm for animals and community.
Erica started with our practice in 2022 after attending vet assisting classes at Forsyth Tech. She knew at a very young age she wanted a career in vet med to help sick and injured pets. Her favorite part of her job is the animals. She has one dachshund. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband and child at the park, hunting, and fishing. They also enjoy going to the trampoline park.

Dakota Solomon began her career in veterinary medicine in July of 2023, driven by a lifelong passion for animal care and husbandry. Since childhood, Dakota has harbored a dream of working closely with animals, motivated by a desire to make a meaningful impact on their lives. Known for her dedication to client education, Dakota finds immense satisfaction in building connections with both clients and their pets. She takes pride in enhancing the veterinary experience for animals under her care, striving to educate owners on optimal pet health and well-being.
Outside of her veterinary duties, Dakota shares her home with two beloved Huskies, Dust and Maggie, who are central to her life and happiness. In her leisure time, Dakota enjoys quality moments with her family and friends, indulging her passion for reading and immersing herself in captivating stories. Dakota Solomon’s commitment to animal welfare and dedication to client relationships make her a valuable asset to the veterinary team. Her enthusiasm for enhancing pet care experiences reflects her deep-rooted love for animals and a genuine desire to contribute positively to their lives.
Mason Wilson has been a dedicated Veterinary Assistant since 2004, driven by a deep-seated passion for animals nurtured from a young age. Growing up with pets, including some he couldn't save, sparked his determination to continually educate himself and improve his ability to care for animals. Known for his compassionate nature, Mason finds fulfillment in various aspects of veterinary practice. His favorite responsibilities include assisting in surgeries, diligently treating patients, and educating clients. Bringing joy to both animals and their owners is a highlight of his work at the practice.
Outside of his veterinary career, Mason leads a vibrant life. He shares his home with a menagerie of animals, including five dogs and nine cats, reflecting his unwavering commitment to animal welfare. In his spare time, Mason indulges his creative side as a drummer in a band, finds exhilaration on his motorcycles, and enjoys exploring new destinations through travel. Mason's multifaceted interests and dedication to animal care make him a valuable member of the veterinary team, embodying a passion that extends beyond the clinic into his personal endeavors.
Tiara started with our practice in March 2021. She has a passion for cats and has always wanted to work with animals. She volunteers as a foster for orphaned kittens whenever needed and always finds them loving homes. She chose vet med because she wanted to be near animals and help those in need. She has three cats. She enjoys art and walking outside in her free time.
Christina Ramirez joined the veterinary field as a Receptionist in 2021, driven by a deep love for animals. Her compassionate nature and genuine warmth make her a welcoming presence in the clinic.
Christina’s favorite aspect of her role is meeting new pets and interacting with the diverse array of animals that visit the practice. She finds joy in witnessing the unique personalities and stories of each animal that comes through the door.
Outside of work, Christina shares her home with a dog and four cats, cherishing every moment spent with her beloved pets. Her devotion to family is evident in how she spends her free time, often enjoying quality moments with loved ones. Christina’s dedication to animal care and her nurturing personality make her an invaluable member of the veterinary team, ensuring every client and pet feels welcomed and cared for.
JoAnn takes care of our patients who are in the kennels on the weekends. She has a deep love for all animals, and they all love her as well. She has a passion for toy breed dogs and always rescues those who need her most. She treats every patient as if they were her own and spends extra time loving on them. She is an asset to our practice with her compassion.
Rachel is the eldest daughter of Dr. Lynn & Preston and has been working at Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall on and off since she was 14 years old. She worked as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician in high school and during the summer months while attending college at NC State University. She married her husband, Jimmy, in 2013 and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2015. After graduating, she worked in two other animal hospitals in the Raleigh area as a veterinary technician and assistant office manager between 2015 and 2019. In October 2019, Rachel and Jimmy welcomed their daughter, and she has been staying home with her full-time ever since. She is very grateful to be able to work from her home in Raleigh while continuing to be a part of the Animal Care Clinic of Rural Hall team as the social media manager and bookkeeper. She is expecting her second child soon.
